At different times and by various people, health is described in many concepts. Health is not related to a person who is physically strong only as understood in old times. DEFINITION OF HEALTH BY WHO
- According to World Health Organization, “health is not merely the absence of diseases. It is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being”.
- WHO again reforms its definition of health “Health is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living. Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities.”
- Further, the World Health Organization defined health as a resource to support an individual’s function in wider society, rather than an end in itself. A healthful lifestyle provides the means to lead a full life with meaning and purpose.
- According to Joint ILO and WHO, Organizational Health, health is the prevention and maintenance of physical, mental, and social well-being of workers in an organization. It is the protection of workers from any risk-averse to health caused by working conditions.

There are some other types of health like spiritual, emotional, and financial. But as per experts, these all types of other health are related to main two types of health i.e. physical and mental.
